When your goal is to lose weight, you want to make sure you are maximizing fat loss, and minimizing the loss of muscle. So, where do you even begin to figure out what you are made of? We now have body composition testing available at select AFF locations with the InBody 270.
What makes the InBody 270 different from traditional body composition analyzers?
- InBody measures the entire body instead of just upper or lower segments
- InBody 270 measures intra and extracellular water so measurements are not affected by hydration status
- More frequencies= more data = accurate and reliable results

What do I need to do for the most accurate results?
- Don’t test after a workout
- Hydrate well the day before
- Avoid eating 2-4 hours prior to the test
- Avoid use of caffeine and other stimulants
- Use the bathroom
- Wear light clothing
- Anything on or in your body like heavy clothing or undigested food will count towards your body fat.
Who can test?
- InBody can test up to 551 pounds
- Anyone ages 3-99
Who should not test?
- Pregnant women
- Anyone who has an artificial electrical implant like a pacemaker should not test.
- Women on their menstrual cycles may get varying results due to fluid shifts
How often should I test?
- As often as you would like
- General recommendation = every 4-8 weeks
