RVA On Ice Winter Season begins its 5thyear on Friday, Nov.28, 2014,and continuesthrough Sunday, Jan.4, 2015,just in time for the Holiday Season and other downtown festive activities
New to RVA On Ice this year will be live musical entertainment. Each Friday evening from Nov.28ththrough Jan.2, 2015, local and regional bands will be featured from 7 to 11 pm during Friday Night Live on Icepresented by RVA Has Talentand SMG Richmond.
Additional theme nights include Pajama Night, College Night, Church Night, Princess Skateand many more including the return of Ugly Sweater Night.
All events and promotions will beposted on both www.RVAOnIce.net and www.Facebook.com/RVAOnIce. Skating at RVA On Ice has becomea downtown holiday tradition with participants skating under the sun, stars and the beautiful Richmond skyline. New and classic holiday music fills the atmosphereand skaters can warm up at the fire pitwhile sippinghot chocolate and enjoying area food trucks this yearwhich will rotate weeks of service.
Regular hours are Monday throughThursday from 4 to9 pm, Friday from 4 to 11pm, Saturday from noonto11pm, and Sundayfrom noon to 9pm. The rink will be available forprivate rink rentals (groups, parties, corporate events and private skating lessons) and groups of 10 or more at a costof $300 fortwo hours which includes skate rental.
