Virginia SUN Buck registration is happening soon!
From July 1 to August 30, families can apply for SUN Bucks by calling the Virginia SUN Bucks Call Center at 866-513-1414 (toll-free), Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Applications are also available online and in a printable format. Benefits will be issued on a rolling basis beginning in mid-July.
What is the SUN Bucks Program?
SUN Bucks gives eligible students and their families $120 per child to help buy groceries during summer break.
You May Receive SUN Bucks Automatically
If your family receives SNAP, TANF or income-based Medicaid, you will be automatically enrolled. You do not need to apply.
If you have students that that applied for and receive school lunch this school year, they are automatically enrolled.
You May Need to Apply for SUN Bucks
If you attend a school where everyone receives free school meals and do not receive SNAP, TANF or income-based Medicaid, you need to apply.
If your monthly income is below the amounts shown here, you are eligible.

Call 866-513-1414 over the phone after July 1 or visit virginiasunbucks.com to find the application and mail it to the address listed. You will need your student's ID number to apply.
