The HCPS Back-to-School Kickoff is back July 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Henrico Sports and Events Center! (Tell a friend!) 🧑🤝🧑
This divisionwide event is FREE for all students and families throughout Henrico County Public Schools to get everyone ready and excited for the first day of school on Aug. 18.
What to expect during the event:
The Back-to-School Kickoff will feature:
🏀 Basketball, futsal (indoor soccer) and kickball tournaments
🧩 “Kid Zone” games and activities
🎤 A DJ and live performances
🎒 Free backpacks, school supplies and other giveaways (while supplies last)
💉A vaccination clinic
🤝 Opportunities to meet with school leaders and other staff members from across the division
📚️ Resources to prepare students and families for the 2025-26 school year

Students from third grade to 12th grade can sign up teams for basketball, futsal and kickball for free at https://www.hoopitup.com/henricocounty. Teams must register by Wednesday, July 23, to play. Players can compete in multiple sports, but registration will not be offered the day of the event. Space is limited based on grade level, so sign up today!
