RICHMOND, VA (August 7, 2025) — The RVA Duck Race & Festival of Inclusion, hosted by The Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV) and presented by CoStar,

returns to Brown’s Island on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Now in its third year, the event is expected to attract more than 8,000 attendees and will feature live music,

inclusive vendors, food trucks, sensory-friendly zones, and autism resources. The day culminates with the signature duck race, where approximately 19,000 rubber ducks

race down the James River in a can’t-miss Richmond tradition. In partnership with Genworth and GAIN — Genworth’s Ability and Inclusion Network,

an employee resource group focused on supporting people with disabilities and their allies — the event is set to launch its first-ever official mascot, embodying the spirit of

the RVA Duck Race: joyful, playful, and ready to bring people together. Richmonders were invited to help select its name, which is set to be unveiled at an event at Genworth

Headquarters and will feature a special appearance by the new mascot. “This is all about bringing people together,” said Ann Flippin, Executive Director of

the Autism Society of Central Virginia. “The Festival of Inclusion is built around creating a space where everyone belongs. What better way to celebrate that than by

inviting the entire community to help name our newest team member?” Duck adoptions are now open at RVADuckRace.org, with over 3,000 ducks already

sold. Ducks are just $8 each, and packages with souvenir ducks and t-shirts are also available. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in the race—including a

$10,000 grand prize sponsored by FasMart. Every duck adopted supports ASCV’s mission to provide programs, resources, and support to individuals with autism and

their families across Central Virginia.
