Dominion Energy Parade

Start the holiday season with the 42nd annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6, 2025. This year’s parade will feature a lively mix of colorful floats, massive helium balloons, high school and college marching bands, princesses, superheroes, and the one and only Legendary Santa! The festivities kick off at the Science Museum of Virginia at 10:15 AM, then head east along Broad Street, ending at 7th Street near the Richmond Coliseum. You can also catch all the excitement live on WTVR CBS6.

Street Closings


Expect the following street closures on Saturday, December 6th 6am - 2pm

  • W. Broad Street between N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. & N. 8th Street
  • 900 Blk. Terminal Place
  • DMV Drive between W. Broad & Leigh Street
  • W. Leigh Street between Hermitage Road and N. Arthur Ashe Blvd.
  • N. Harrison Street between W. Broad & Marshall Street
  • N. Allison Street between W. Broad & Grace Street
  • Lodge Street between W. Broad & Marshall Street
  • E. Marshall Street between N. 3rd & 7th Street
  • E. Clay Street between 7th & 8th Street
  • E. Leigh Street between N. 4th & 9th Street

 

How to Watch


The Dominion Energy Christmas Parade takes place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. This beloved Richmond tradition attracts more than 100,000 spectators, starting at the Science Museum of Virginia and traveling 2.2 miles east on Broad Street to the Richmond Coliseum.
