Birthdays are the most exciting days of the year for our Mackids. As the publisher of Macaroni KID Richmond and Chesterfield-Chester, I have loved celebrating your little ones in our newsletters. However, I have wanted to find a way to make those celebrations feel even more hands-on and special.
I'm thrilled to announce that starting Wednesday, May 6th, we are relaunching our Birthday Club in partnership with Jaleija Designs, now called the Birthday Makers Club!
We're moving beyond simple shout-outs to give your MacKid a full creative experience. I've designed this update to provide parents with easy, screen-free ways to celebrate their kids without adding more stress to the party planning process.
What's New for Birthday Club Members
Starting on May 6th, every member of our Birthday Club will receive:
- The Birthday Scavenger Hunt: A printable adventure designed to get kids moving and exploring their home or a local RVA park.
- Monthly "Quick Craft" Tutorials: Exclusive video links where I show your kids how to create a birthday masterpiece using simple items you already have.
- A Free Birthday Mini-Kit: Members can pick up a physical "Maker Kit" at any Jaleija Designs craft class or at select local partner locations.
- The Instagram Art Gallery: We will host a monthly Live session to shout out names and show off the crafts your children have created!
How to Join
If your child is already a member, stay tuned for a special email arriving on May 6th. If you have not joined yet, now is the perfect time to sign up. I want to ensure every MacKid feels like a "Master Maker" on their big day.
