Banana Foster French Toast


Ingredients:
4 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract - divided
8 slices whole grain bread bread
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon dark rum or rum extract - optional
powdered sugar
Oil

Directions:
Crack eggs into medium size shallow bowl, beat lightly with a fork. Add milk and 1 tsp vanilla, stir well.

Heat griddle or frying pan over medium heat.  Coat with a thin layer of oil.

Dip bread slices, one at a time, into the egg mixture.  Dip only ...

This is a project my kids did a few years ago for their grandmas for Mother's Day.  If you would like to use it, please give me credit.  The picture is also mine.

If you have more than one child, you could have them each make a handprint on one pillow to make a bouquet, or they can each make their own pillow.

Over the past ten years, the Autism Society Central Virginia 5k Run/Walk has grown from a small venture to an annual event that attracted over 1900 participants in 2011.This race includes entertainment, food, exhibitors and a Kid’s Fun Zone. The 5K Run/Walk is our chapter’s primary source of income, raising nearly $73,000 in May 2011.All funds raised from this event will stay within the greater Richmond area, providing much needed support to families and individuals living with autism!

Friday Cheers is a favorite music series in the RVA. Not only does it feature a good mix of bands.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and the opener should start playing at around 6:30 p.m.

Dominion Riverrock is the East Coast's premier outdoor lifestyle festival, bringing athletes, spectators, musicians, and even dogs to Brown’s Island for a three-day festival against the backdrop of downtown Richmond’s urban riverfront. The festival features a variety of outdoor sports including trail running, kayaking, biking, bouldering, stand up paddleboarding, and dog jumping. The event was designed to promote Richmond’s unique riverfront, downtown trails and whitewater rapids to outdoor enthusiasts.

      Spectacular amusement rides and games, operated by Deggeller Attractions, Inc. , “America's #1 Carnival”, will be sure to delight the young and young-at-heart. The three-day event will open with a memorable salute to the United States military by the Lonesome Dove Equestrian Drill Team, which provides therapeutic riding and equine-related activities for physically-disabled veterans.  A new attraction will be the amazing feats of the Stella Circus and Thrill Show, offering stunning aerial acrobatics and death-defying acts.
