Macaroni Made

Mother's Day pillow craft to share

By Evonne Umbel South Hills PA PM May 11, 2012

This is a project my kids did a few years ago for their grandmas for Mother's Day.  If you would like to use it, please give me credit.  The picture is also mine.

If you have more than one child, you could have them each make a handprint on one pillow to make a bouquet, or they can each make their own pillow.

What you need:

1 White washcloth

1 Washcloth of your color choice (except white)

Acrylic paint for flowers

Green fabric paint

Glue - tacky glue or a hot glue gun work best

Stuffing

What you do:

Paint your child's hand with the acrylic paint and have them make a handprint on the white washcloth.

Using the green fabric paint, draw a stem and leaves below the handprint.

When the paint is dry, glue 3 sides of the washcloths together.  When the glue is dry, stuff your pillow and glue the final edge closed.
