September 12, 2014

I was given the cool opportunity to try and review the Jabra Tour .  I debated lettting my teen do the review and decided we would both give it a whirl.  The Jabra is the  "queen" when it comes to hands-free calling

Like so many of us,  multitasking is second nature and it is a rare moment that we get to do "just one thing". In one given day, I can really be in the car 7 times! YES , 7 times. I love the idea of being able to make better use of my time and to do it more safely!

The Jabra Tour has a Bluetooth speaker that clips to the visor so you can have have hands-free control of your mobile device.  The  setup was really simple,   verbal instrutions for pairing and controlling up to two devices at a time.  After that the  incoming calls are announced verbally.

I was worried about the connection being poor but , that was not the case,  the quality  was great with Noise Blackout technology, a dual microphone and a 3 watt speaker for clear reception on both ends of the line.  The voice controls mean that there is no need to press any buttons, the Jabra Tour takes hands-free to a whole new level, allowing you to keep your hands and eyes focused on the road for safe travel while staying connected.

Jabra Tour does MORE than just hands free calling! You can press another button and the speaker lets you activate Siri or voice controls supported by your phone. Here is an example of multitasking at its best:  while headed to dance- I sent a few texts, "wrote" an email, played a song from my radio , got directions and found the closest spot for dinner! My oldest went right to Pandora and played our library through the speaker!

The  Jabra Tour will  power off and on automatically based on activity detected by a built-in motion sensor. The built-in battery  lasts for up to 20 hours of talk time and up to 40 days in stand-by mode.

Another cool
feature that I need at least once a day is the  Jabra Tour has the Jabra Assist app which geotags the location of your car!  It  can display on a map the place where your device last connected to (or disconnected from) .You can even have a  Maps app launch to route you back to your vehicle.

The suggested retail price is $79.99 and I think  the Jabra Tour is worth it for the peace of driving more safely with good sound!  Learn more at www.jabra.com. If you are a mom or dad with much younger children, you may want to consider the , Jabra Stealth . This is more of a headset option that may be perfect for you.
