She supports both research and evaluation efforts in this field, and has co-authored peer-reviewed studies on allergic diseases.

Whether she's helping organizations tell their story through data or advancing food allergy awareness at the systems level, Sherrina brings a community-first, evidence-based approach to everything she does.

She is also the current coordinator for the Richmond Food Allergy Support Group, an online community that provides education, resources, and advocacy support to families navigating life with food allergies.

On May 15th, Sherrina will host the inaugural, Feeding Allergy Awareness RVA: Actionable Solutions for Families, Clinicians, and Community Organizations, a one-day conference on allergy awareness in our community.

During Food Allergy Awareness Week, Feeding Allergy Awareness RVA will convene clinicians, people with allergic diseases (food allergies, asthma, eczema, Alpha-Gal, etc), caregivers, and community organizations to focus on solutions and collaboration. Richmond is currently ranked the 8th worst city in the U.S. for asthma and allergies. Food allergies affect 1 in 10 adults and 1 in 13 children nationally.
