Tuckaway is a family-owned child care center providing the truly individual attention every child deserves, with stimulating hands-on and creative challenges that encourage them to learn more, without overwhelming them or allowing them to get bored.
Tuckaway's goal is to offer quality programs for children within a family oriented atmosphere. Tuckaway achieves this goal through a stimulating educational curriculum which is tailored for each child's age and ability. Language development, mathematics, science, social studies, physical activities, and music are a few of the instructional courses children will encounter during their daily schedule.
Tuckaway Child Development began in 1971 when Beverly and Karlis Graubics purchased a child care center inthe West End of Richmond, on Tuckaway Lane. Their vision was to provide children something other than being boxed up in a classroom until their parents picked them up; something they would want for their own children.
Tuckaway has grown to a family of 6 schools in the Richmond area. Each school has its own unique characteristics, but remain true to the Graubics' original idea; have the space for children to grow and the environment to learn.
