8 Richmond Family Halloween Events

Here are some great events happening locally for you to save in your Halloween planning! Big thanks to Virginia Family Dentistry for sponsoring this article ! 

  • Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival-  10/16 12 pm- 6 pm - The Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival is your ultimate Fall Family event! The festival takes place in Scott’s Addition, on Arthur Ashe Boulevard, and features something for everyone. From live music by local bands to delicious fall treats and the best craft beer from local breweries. Plus, the very popular costume contests for kids, adults and our four-legged friends. The event is FREE.
  • Hollowed Harvest - select dates thru 10/31- Experience the spooky family-fun of Halloween at the Hollowed Harvest! The Hollowed Harvest brings to life more than 7,000 incredible Jack-O'-Lanterns creating stunning landscapes and larger-than-life displays designed to amaze audiences of all ages! Alternatively, the Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth features 1,000 intricately carved Jack-O'-Lanterns celebrating the attention to small details that make Jack-O'-Lanterns the beloved fall art tradition they've come to be!
  • Halloween Haunted Drive- 10/22 6pm-9pm -During the mile long journey deep into the woods at Bryan Park, participant's vehicles will come up close and personal with ghosts, ghouls, clowns, zombies, and any other creatures that dare to roam the park after dark.
    Entrance to the park will be closed at 8:45 p.m. Please note that buses or 15 passenger vans will not be admitted into this event. Advanced ticket purchase is required.
  • Haunted History at Tuckahoe- 10/30 2pm-6pm- Forget the “scare house” substitutes, and visit a real Haunted House this Halloween season! Stop by on Saturday October 30th from 2-6pm for Halloween festivities for the whole family! Wandering the historic grounds and mansion of Tuckahoe, you may catch a glimpse of our resident Ghost, or even the Headless Horseman!
    Admission is $10 per person (ages 3+) or $30 per family (max 5 people). Get a Ghost Tour of the historic mansion to hear spooky tales of supernatural occurrences, past and present!
  • Tunnel of Terror at Tommy’s Express- use link to see locations and info 
  • Scary Movies at the Byrd Theatre - select dates - use link to see options 
  • Trunk or Treat Chesterfield County Fairgrounds. - 10/26 2pm- 9pm 
  • Ashland Halloween: Trick-or-Treat 10/31 5pm-8pm - Downtown Ashland Association create a map of Halloween Hosts who agree to maintain safety guidelines. We encourage all Trick-or-Treaters to use the map and yard signs for a fun and safe Halloween Night!
