The holiday season is truly my favorite time of year. For me and my family, one of our favorite activities is seeing Christmas lights together. Over the years, we have done a variety of things, from tacky light tours in limos to tacky light runs. These have both been incredible experiences. However, our all-time preferred way to see lights is to get into our car, put on our pajamas, grab a few snacks, and embark on a journey through the winter wonderland that is our streets.
We turn our dial to the Christmas Music station and let the festive tunes fill the air as we drive around town. The combination of cozy pajamas, tasty treats, and joyful music creates a truly unforgettable atmosphere. It's as if the world slows down, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the festive spirit.
To make this adventure even more special, we usually break it down into three nights, exploring a different side of town each night. It's a great way to get to see all the dazzling displays without having to drive all over the city.
Erin's Awesome Idea
Last year, a local mom, Erin, came up with a brilliant idea. She started her own version of a Tacky Light Map, which quickly gained popularity and attracted over 5,000 views. The map featured numerous well-known and new houses adorned with tacky lights, providing a great resource for those seeking a Christmas light extravaganza.
