STAGE EXPLORERS CAMPS - For Rising 1st - 6th Graders

Each day includes drama, music, dance and a production craft taught by Virginia Rep's theatre professionals and educators. Campers are divided into three groups by grade level (or age) for the majority of their activities, but come together in rehearsals for the showcase-style performance. The experience will encourage and support both the novice and the seasoned performer.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM*

Tuition: $675 per camper
DRAMATIC ADVENTURES - For 4 - 6 year olds
The ideal first theatre camp for your preschool aged child! Each morning includes story drama, music, movement and an arts craft. Through literacy based creative drama, campers learn how to use their Performer’s Tools (body, voice,imagination, focus and cooperation). Participants will have an opportunity to share what they learned throughout the week with family and friends on the last day at 11:30 AM.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, one week
Tuition: $250 per camper
YOUNG PERFORMERS INSTITUTE - For Rising 7th - 12th Graders
July 22 - August 2 (2 Week Camp)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
In-person Camp
Tuition: $675 per camper
Each day, participants will rotate through performance courses , allowing students to connect with one another and their teachers and instructors to build a strong and dynamic ensemble.
Courses include: Acting, Singing, Dancing and three “wild card” classes. Wild card classes in the past have included filmmaking, puppetry, Shakespeare, improv, stage combat and others. These courses are provided by working professionals in the theatre industry. The Young Performers Institute Camp is packed with rigor, but is fun for young performers.
SUMMER SHOWTIME - For Rising 5th - 12th graders By Audition Only
August 5 - August 16 (2 Week Camp)
Our 2024 Summer Showtime production This performance camp is designed with the musical theatre lover in mind. Each day will begin with group warm-ups where campers will prepare to use their voices, bodies and minds for rehearsal. Campers will learn music, choreography, and all of their lines while working together as an ensemble. The Summer Showtime cast will then take their places in the spotlight for four public performances on the Virginia Rep Center stage.
