Classes

Dance Infinity Homeschool Dance Classes

This prorgram is offered to home educated students. Students learn the art and discipline of dance in a fun and nurturing environment. Different styles of dance will be taught; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and creative movement. Ample social and outreach performance opportunities for seniors are provided to build community, friendships, and confidence.


Tuckahoe Learning Grove

Tuckahoe Learning Grove is a part time kindergarten program that values hands-on and play based learning. Perfect for homeschooling families, TLG offers daily learning, playing, and discovering for kindergarten-aged students. TLG is located in the west end of Richmond and runs 9-12, Mon-Fri. We’d love to meet your family and be part of your journey to seek alternatives to traditional school!


Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center Spring Classes

Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center's Spring Semester classes start next week, on January 21st!If it's been on your to-do list to sign up for classes, but you got swamped with the Winter Holidays - no worries - you still have a week to register for classes. Don't delay too long though, as classes are filling up quickly! Go to parksandrecreation.richmondgov.com "Cultural Arts" to sign up today!



Co-ops

RVA Homeschool Together Teen/Tween Club & Co-op

Our teen/tween club meets twice per month (in or around the city), and the co-op has other all-ages activities scheduled as well. Semester co-op dues are $55/family or $45 for a single child family. You can request to join the FB group (RVA Homeschool Together) to check out the schedule and come to any events through February 1 before committing.
The teen/tween club usually meets on Friday afternoons but we are flexible. Our next one is on Thursday 1/23.
(ETA: Our co-op has offerings throughout the month for all-ages/kindergarten and up as well!)
Looking for a homeschool community for your teen/tween?
RVA Homeschool Together co-op is open for spring enrollment through February 1 and we are growing a twice-a-monthly club for kids 11+ (siblings welcome). Activities include field trips, hikes, pickleball, and game days.

Homeschool Days @ Maymont

Maymont’s field investigation programs are a great option for homeschooled students! Enrich your student’s environmental science, history and social studies with hands-on experiences and interactive learning tools that take advantage of Maymont’s new facilities as well as the historic 100-acre landscape.
For students ages 5-12.

Mother Oak Support Group - Teen Homeschoolers Wanted to Watch Younger Kids for Support Group

The Mother Oak Support is expanding, and any mama who is seeking a supportive community of women to join us! We currently meet on Monday mornings, but are open to an additional meeting day if there is enough interest. BONUS points (and compensation) to anyone who has older children that can help look after the littles... we are willing to work with older homeschoolers to create and implement early childhood programming if they would like to turn it into a learning opportunity or project!
